SUMMARY:Programming Logic for Non-Programmers
DESCRIPTION:A very gentle introduction to programming logic.\n\nThis
workshop is for the:\n\n\n	Uninitiated: You’ve never written a line of
code\, and you’re not sure where to start.\n	Curious: You want to know
what programming can do.\n	Improvised: You know how to do what you need to
do\, but you never got the basics.\n\n\nIn this 90-minute session\, we will
define concepts that are common across programming languages\, including
data types\, loops\, functions\, and arguments. By the end of the session\,
you will have developed a mental model of the logic behind programming and
practiced interpreting and documenting that logic. \n\nThe workshop is open
to all but designed especially for those who are new to programming (e.g.\,
humanists interested in digital humanities)\, and we will work with example
code in various languages.\n\nWorkshop materials are adapted from
“Programming Logic for Non-Programmers\,” written by Kat Koziar and
 Stephanie Labou\, 2025.
