Genomes and the NCBI Website

This introductory workshop will help orient new users to the resources available on the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website.

The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website is a division of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This session will introduce users to a sampling of the resources available through the NCBI Welcome page.

The NCBI website offers a wealth of biomedical and genomic information and analytical tools that allow users to evaluate biological data. This introductory workshop will help orient new users to the resources available on the website.

Prerequisites:
This lesson assumes no prior knowledge of the skills or tools.
