As part of the Institute for Race and Resilience (IRR) celebration of Black History Month (2026) at the University of Notre Dame, with tremendous Joy & Celebration of the Africana World (the continent of Africa, the United States, and the Afro-Caribbean diaspora), this event presents an opportunity for the University of Notre Dame community to connect with the Hesburgh Libraries vast array of multi-media resources (course content/creation of multi-media assignments) and be introduced to music resources from the Africana world. Participants are asked to bring their devices (laptop computers, phones, tablets, etc.) and be prepared to not only get connected to these invaluable resources, but also to experience the possibility of impromptu dancing and celebration.
