Wrangling Data in R with dplyr

OPEN TO:
-Faculty -Graduate Students -Postdocs -Staff -Undergraduate Students

Learn to load in, manipulate, and clean data in R using the dplyr package.

This workshop will introduce participants to the tidyverse, a collection of packages in R designed for working with data. In particular, this session will cover the dplyr package, which allows users to manipulate (change, subset, filter, summarize) datasets. We will also discuss what it means for data to be “tidy,” and work with datasets from a variety of disciplines.

This workshop is open to all, but it is recommended that participants have some basic knowledge of writing R code in the RStudio interface. One way to accomplish this is to attend one of the R for Absolute Beginners workshops offered regularly throughout the semester.
