HTML & CSS — Essential Training

Learn basic HTML and CSS to improve your web communication and design.

For those who use the Web to communicate with others, it never hurts to have a basic familiarity with HTML and CSS. It can improve the clarity and power of your communication and design, help you better understand the workings of the contemporary internet, and assist you in styling content on platforms that allow access to source code.

In this hands-on workshop, you will dive immediately into building simple webpages, as a way to understand the relationship between HTML and CSS.

Prerequisites:
No prior coding experience is necessary.

Learning goals:

  • Learn the foundations of HTML, including key HTML elements and concepts such as the "box model."
  • Learn the foundations of CSS, including classes, IDs, and external, embedded, and inline styles.
